Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 11, 2026

1. Engagement & Scope of Services

These Terms and Conditions govern software development, mobile application engineering, web platforms, and architectural consulting services provided by Anas Lakhani ("Consultant") to clients ("Client"). Individual project scopes, technical milestones, deliverables, and timelines are formally defined in written Statements of Work (SOW) or digital contracts agreed between the parties.

2. Intellectual Property Ownership

We operate on a transparent, client-first model:

  • 100% Client Ownership: Upon completion and payment of milestone deliverables, the Client owns 100% of all custom source code, Git repositories, deployment scripts, database schemas, and design assets developed specifically for the project.
  • Zero Vendor Lock-In: You are never locked into proprietary hosting, hidden licensing fees, or restrictive retainers.
  • Third-Party Libraries: Standard open-source frameworks (React, Next.js, Flutter, etc.) remain subject to their respective open-source licenses (e.g., MIT, Apache 2.0).

3. Milestones & Payment Structure

Projects are structured into fixed milestones with clear acceptance criteria. Invoices are issued per milestone. Work commences upon receipt of the agreed deposit or milestone advance. Payments are accepted via international wire transfer, Stripe, or verified escrow platforms.

4. Client Responsibilities

To maintain agreed sprint velocities and delivery deadlines, the Client agrees to provide timely feedback on design prototypes and code deliverables, relevant third-party API credentials, and required asset approvals. Delays in client feedback may adjust scheduled completion dates.

5. Post-Launch Warranty & Support

Every production launch includes a dedicated 30-day warranty period following final delivery. During this period, any bugs, defects, or deviations from the agreed milestone specifications will be resolved promptly at no additional charge. Ongoing maintenance contracts are available upon request.

6. Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure

Both parties agree to protect and keep confidential any proprietary business information, technical architecture, product concepts, and business logic shared during the engagement. We are happy to execute formal Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) prior to discovery discussions.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall either party be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the project. The maximum aggregate liability under any agreement shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Client under the applicable Statement of Work.
